The University of Dundee
The University of Dundee is one of the UK’s leading universities and is home to 18000 students and more than 3000 staff. There are 5300 postgraduate students studying in 22 research groups. The University has been named among the world’s leading centres for scientific research. The Leiden Ranking (2013), which uses a sophisticated set of varied indicators to assess the quality and importance of scientific research at 500 of the world’s top universities, places Dundee 79th overall. It follows Dundee’s rating among the world’s top 200 universities in the Times Higher World Rankings 2012, where in the key indicator of `mean citation score’ Dundee ranks 13th in the world and best in the UK.
